Shoot to Thrill Paintball

Paintball Field Adds Laser Tag To Target New Business

Paintball & Laser Tag

One of the first paintball fields in Denmark, Shoot to Thrill began in 1992.

They discovered Battlefield Sports in 2009 and added Laser Tag to their field with a set of 16 laser tag guns.

This was the start of their Laser Game activity. When he ordered the set, Mikael from Shoot to Thrill sent us sound files in Danish.

This way the gaming gun speaks the same language as his patrons.

What They Offer

"Our paintball field has a series of themed battlefields that are in close quarters. Gamers play one game in the first field, then move on to the second one and play another scenario in that area, then move on to the next field, and so on. That way over two hours they can experience different gameplay in the various fields," said Mikael

For participants under 16, customers can book a session that includes the "Laser Game" attraction, which games played over 5-7 different battlefields (all on the same campus). They can add to the fun with additional activities as well! The minimum group size is eight.

Their games run for 10 minutes.

Gamers can add camouflage suit hire to their experience as well.

Other amusements include Archery, Whack-a-Mole, Sweeper, Rodeo Bull, Surfboard Simulator, and Sumo wrestling. See more on their website.

Shoot to Thrill Large Group

"I just got back from an event at a High School in Copenhagen: 1400 students and teachers, 30 laser tag guns, 3 instructors, 8 hours. We started a new game every 15 minutes. Each with 50 to 60 new players…. Hectic! The equipment worked flawlessly ;-) Busted I am!"

- MIKAEL GRÖNING, Founder of Shoot to Thrill

Shoot to Thrill makes use of the Battlefield Sports capacity to have eight separate battles played at the same time because they have seven fields in close proximity to one another.

The system ensures there is no cross-over between a gaming gun on Battle 1 and a gaming gun on Battle 2, and so on.

The Shoot To Thrill Journey

The adventure began in 2009 when Shoot to Thrill invested in a range of Laser Taggers.

As part of their initial launch they purchased: 16 x Spitfires + Accessories

After the success of that original purchase, they expanded the activity with more taggers!

In 2020, they added Awesome Cobras + 4 Battle Boxes

In 2021, they added even MORE Awesome + 4 Battle Boxes + 1 Controller

By 2022, their arsenal had grown to 84 gaming guns! They upgraded all of these to SATR3, the latest in Live Action Gaming Technology, and added SATR Go (the Scoreboard).

The expansion hasn't ended there!

Their most recent order in 2024 included 12 more Awesome Cobras, 2 Battle Boxes, and 3 Controllers!

Today Shoot to Thrill has 136 gaming guns in operation plus 14 Battle Boxes & 7 Controllers.

That's a lot of gaming!

In Denmark, many celebrate a coming-of-age confirmation on a Sunday in April or May and then enjoy a day off school and throw a big party on the following Monday.

This is called Blue Monday. Many celebrate by playing Laser Tag.

At Shoot to Thrill, they've been running Blue Monday experiences for 20 years. They block out the day for confirmation students and offer lunch to the students.

Participants can play between 1 and 4 hours, mixing Laser Tag and other amusements.

Confirmation students often play with their class as a final send-off.
