A classic obstacle race!

The Gauntlet Exercise

This is a race! Get to each box, tag it, and get to the finish line first.

Set several targets out on the field.

These act as waypoints as the players move along the course.

When playing with 1 team, the group must beat the clock. If you have two teams, it's a race!!

Setting Up

Place the targets along an obstacle course or a path. Choose the “Gauntlet Target” for this game. If you play this game with 1 team, we recommend setting a timer (it’s a race against the clock!). If you play this game with 2 teams, whichever team makes it to the end first wins. On your controller, find the Select Game option, IMPORTANT: Turn OFF any taggers that aren’t in use (if any).

Each player on the team must take the box to take it for their group.

Once they've done that the box lights up their color: Red or Blue. When both teams have captured the waypoint, it glows Purple.

Scoring

There is a Red Team and a Blue Team. Everyone on the team must tag every box. The total requirement will appear on your controller.

For example, #/20 If the team arrives at the finish line without reaching that total, they must go back!!

The Secret Sauce: Interactive Targets

When the target is red, the red team should try to tag it. When it's blue, the blue team tags it. Players can only score 1 point each per flash. But they can call over their teammates and encourage them to tag the target too.

Once the player has tagged a box they will need to find a different box to tag.

This encourages movement! Working together means scoring more points.

A master controller or Scoreboard app
A radio repeater (if playing in a large area)
