You might know that the Battlefield Sports SATR3 system supports up to 7 teams in one battle. You can also run missions on “free for all” where no one is on a team.
But some missions work better than others when adding additional teams.
If you’re planning an event with three, four, or five teams at once. Keep this in mind!
This blog is also a quiz. See if you can get the answers! There are six missions in the blog. See if you can guess which missions allow more than 2 teams and how teams can each mission support. The missions are:
* Team Death Match
* Heist
* Capture the Flag
* Hotspots
* Battle Royale
* Domination
This classic mission is all about making the most kills as a team.
The SATR system scores this based on the number of respawns each Medic Box has made and applying that to the other team.
For that reason, Team Death Match can only be played with 2 teams at once.
This is a fantastic mission for operators who want to run a mission with multiple teams. The main objective of the Heist game is to have the most amount of virtual cash in your team's vault at the end of the mission.
Heist is a dynamic game where players can engage in various playstyles. The game isn't won until the timer ends.
Heist can be scored with up to 7 teams running. It is best played with two, three or four teams.
Four-team Heist is super thrilling! The opportunity to raid is higher and the battle over the Money Drop is fierce.
Heist is a heart-pumping game of non-stop action. It’s fantastic for teens and adults. Especially for a teambuilding or high school leadership program.
This is another mission that can be scored for up to 7 teams!
The goal of the game is to collect as many E-Flags as possible within the time limit. The team that collects the most flags wins! This is a high-octane mission that is sure to challenge your gamers!
Battlefield Sports advises Capture the Flag to be played with either two, three, or four teams.
Unlike the traditional Capture the Flag game, there is not just one material flag. Rather these flags are virtual and there can be more than one virtual flag in play at any one time.
This means that Red team run off with a flag from the Blue team base, while a Purple team player steals another flag from Blue team’s base.
Splitting up the teams is advisable with large groups, as it spreads out the action.
Keep in mind, however, that each team requires 2 Battle Boxes: one to issue flags, one to issue respawns.
The latest game in our arsenal, this game can be officially played with several teams but is practical for only two teams.
This game was designed for several small teams. Unlike most missions, Battle Royale is best played with multiple teams. Three or four teams is best for this mission.
Players start in a big playing area and as time goes on, then the safe zone shrinks. There are no respawns. The team who survives the longest wins.
Each team should start at a Battle Box set to a Supply Crate. Then set up another box with a whip antenna in the center of the field to act as the Battle Royale Box.
This is a great game to be played with two or three teams. When a player captures the box, it flashes their team’s color: Red, Blue, or Purple (both).
The system can score additional teams, but the Battle Boxes are limited by LED colors.
A three-team version of Domination is actually great for a small group. For example, when there are only 6 players. Because the action is coming from multiple directions, the tension over which team controls the box is heightened.
It’s a mad dash to clear out the area and no team can hold the box for long.
For those of you testing your knowledge, here is a summary of the answers:
* Team Death Match = 2
* Heist = 7 (practically: up to 4)
* Capture the Flag = 7 (practically: up to 4)
* Hotspots = 7 (practically: only 2)
* Battle Royale = 7
* Domination = 3
