In the Battlefield ROYALE theme (which is inspired by the Fortnite video game) there's an Epic Crossbow emulation.
This crossbow is truly epic because it has a secret weapon! Unlimited ammo!
This video features a new model, the Electronic Crossbow. Seen in this video is the Battlefield Sports model SATR-AIR unit attached to a Fantasy live-action role-play (LARP) crossbow prop.
Think of it as Game of Thrones spliced with Laser Tag or imagine Hunger Games crossed with soft archery. In the Lord of the Rings movies, the Uruk-hai (Great Orcs) use crossbows.
The Electronic Crossbow: A Fantasy Ranged Weapon
New in the Battlefield Fantasy genre, part of the SATR3 live gaming system, is the electronic crossbow.
The crossbow has long-range and inflicts 5 points of piercing damage.
Its reload time is 8 seconds.
The electronic crossbow has 80 bolts in total.
A crossbow is a type of weapon, based on the bow, consisting of a horizontal bow-like assembly mounted on a stock, which shoots projectiles called bolts or quarrels.
Historically, crossbows played a significant role in the warfare of East Asia, Europe, and the Mediterranean. The invention of the crossbow caused a major shift in the role of ranged weaponry among armies, as the traditional bow and arrow had long been a specialized weapons system that required a considerable degree of lifetime training, physical strength, and expertise to operate with any degree of efficiency.
You can also configure the crossbow to use in the Battlefield LIVE or Battlefield UNDEAD genres. In these cases, you select the modern crossbow specs. With the headshot multiplier, two modern crossbow bolts will kill on gamers who are set on standard or easy difficulty. And if they are set to hard difficulty then it only takes one bolt!
