Laser Tag Guns
The gaming engine SATR2 emulates 69 different weapons. These weapon emulations are categorized into four (4) classes:
Today we feature the M249 light machine gun emulation. This is a world famous, first released in the late 1970s.
The Minimi gun is a pretty popular weapon emulation in the SATR system. Especially for those battlefield operators who have included the Morita model in their arsenal.
The M249 machine gun features a huge 200 shot belt, and fires fully automatic only.
A Battlefield Sports gaming gun with this weapon emulation has a default configuration of long range.
It configured with 7 spare belts of 5.56mm NATO ammunition and takes six (6) seconds to reload.
The Minimi light machine gun was developed by FN Herstal. Mass production began in 1982 in Belgium. About the same time it was adopted by the US Armed forces as the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW).
The Minimi is used by many western allied countries. The longer reload time reflects time it takes to let the barrel cool down and then change.

A Morita configured as a M249 would normally be configured with Long range.
The weapon emulation will be used in this month's Veterans Special Event, "Rise & Fall". The special live action role-play element applicable for this weapon emulation was that the gamers had to be kneeling or prone in order to fire the M249.
