Battlefield Sports Granted New Patent In The EU

New Patent Granted In The EU For Laser Gaming Technology


Battlefield Sports the leading innovator in laser gaming technology, today announced it has been granted a new patent in Europe, expanding the company's intellectual property portfolio.

Battlefield Sports has been awarded an European Patent for technology related to its real-time hit-feedback laser tag system.

The patent application was originally filed in 2007, and it lists one inventor, Battlefield Sports Founder, Peter Lander.

"We are pleased to confirm that Battlefield Sports' European patent application has now issued as a patent. The official patent number is 2126508. The priority date is December 21st 2006," said Peter Lander.

patented techThis new patent covers the European Union, in particular the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

The newly issued patent covers a system for peer-to-peer live gaming. More specifically, it addresses the technology in Battlefield Sports' SATR® product for laser tag equipment. SATR standards for Small Arms Transmitter Receiver.

"This patent covers the foundation of our live gaming platform and embodies the uniqueness of our intellectual property," said Peter Lander.

Battlefield Sports' continued focus on research and development in laser gaming has resulted in significant market growth.
