Battlefield Sports Honored As A National Finalist In The Optus Mybusiness Awards

The finalists for the 2016 Optus My Business Awards have been revealed, with businesses from right across the nation recognised for excellence.

The prestigious Optus My Business Awards optus my business awards 2016celebrate the best and brightest among Australia’s community of more than 2 million small and medium enterprises across all industries and within all states and territories.
We are delighted to announce that Battlefield Sports has been named a finalist in the national Optus Mybusiness Awards 2016 for not 1 business award, but 3!
We're finalists for:
  • the Export Business of the Year
  • Manufacturing Business of the Year, and
  • the Wholesale Business of the Year.

There were six finalists in the Export Business of the Year category. There were nine finalists in the Manufacturing Business of the Year. Whereas there were only four national finalists in the Wholesale Business of the Year category. 

The categories recognise best practice within a particular field, whereas other categories others recognise individual business leaders, excellence in customer service as well as achievements in innovation and workplace culture. 

This year there were an impressive 339 submissions across 24 award categories, representing businesses right across the nation.

“This year we have received a huge interest in the Optus My Business Awards, with hundreds of submissions flowing in from across the country.

Congratulations to all the businesses that have made it to the finalist stage – it is an outstanding achievement,” said Phillip Tarrant, editor of My Business.

Battlefield Sports started commercial laser tag in 1999, the company manufactures laser tag equipment and under the brand name "Laser Tag in a Box" rents laser tag gear all over Australia. The group also runs laser skirmish events across South East Queensland, specialising in corporate team events for very large groups having hosted events for Coke, Microsoft, Cisco Systems and many more. 

Nicole Lander, Chief Fun Officer from Battlefield Sports said she was delighted with the new accolade.

Winners in the individual categories will automatically be shortlisted for the coveted My Business – Business of the Year Award.

Winners will be revealed at a black-tie gala dinner at Sydney’s Four Points by Sheraton on Friday, 18 November 2016.
