Battlefield Sports Annual Client Survey Results 2014

Each year, during the Thanksgiving season, Battlefield Sports runs its annual client survey.

This year, 2014, celebrates its tenth year of feedback.

Happy 10th Birthday to the Battlefield Sports Client Survey

At Battlefield Sports we value our Battlefield Operators' feedback that is why we've run our annual client survey for a decade. Many of the innovations we've incorporated into SATR2 are the features our operators asked for.

surveyThe good news is that during 2014 83.3% of our clients have experienced an increase in the past three months of customer activity compared with the same time last year. This is up on last year's results of 71.8% experiencing an increase.

In fact while most clients experienced steady growth of around 10% per annum, many experienced great results of 40% or 50% jump. Operators said the reason for improvement was to do with adding new locations, such as in combination with a tourist location, or combining both mobile and fixed offers. Those who did experience a slump put it down to external factors such as increased local competition or tough economics.

Just shy of 78% of clients were confident that their business would expand next year, of these 27.7% had a very high level of confidence that they would expand.

The average age of players who were entertained at these Battlefield Businesses was between the ages of 10 - 13. Many clients average age of players also covered 8 to 9 year old and 14 to 15 year olds.

Most clients indicated that their business was mobile (only offering Battlefield LIVE games) or outdoor (only offering Battlefield LIVE games). Interestingly this is quite different to last year's survey respondents who indicated that a combination business as indoor and/or outdoor, and/or mobile either just Battlefield LIVE, or with other offers actually best described their business.

Just under half of the battlefield businesses are small, with less than 5,000 guests through the gates per year. About a third were medium sized businesses which entertained between 5,001 and 10,000 per annum. The rest were larger operations who entertained more than 10,000 people per annum.
