The Domination Mission

The Domination Mission is a thrilling game mode inspired by the iconic Call of Duty Domination game. In this mission, players battle for control of a central area on the battlefield.

The goal is simple: the team that holds this area the longest wins. Battlefield Sports uses its innovative Battle Boxes to keep track of this fast-paced challenge and ensure the action never stops.

In addition to the standard two Medic Boxes, you add at least one objective. This Battle Box is set as a "Domination Box" using the "Recommend Options" menu. Configuring the box for the mission using this list only takes a few seconds.

Domination is a great game due to its flexibility. It can be enjoyed with as little as three people or as many as 300. Minor tweaks to how the game is set up allow this game to go BIG!

Here's How The Game Works

1. Setting Up the Game:

On the Go Set Up: With the simple-to-use "Recommended Options" menu, you can set the Battle Box to "Domination" mode in just a few seconds. It’s quick, easy, and ready for action.
Teams: The game is most commonly played with two teams (Red vs Blue), but the format can be expanded to three teams (Red vs Blue vs Purple), making the mission even more dynamic and competitive. Using the "Recommended Options" menu, provide each team with a Medic Box to respawn them during the game.

2. Gameplay Mechanics:

Control the Box: Players need to shoot the Battle Box to capture the central area. When a player from the Red team shoots it, the box flashes Red, signaling the Red team has control of the area. If the Blue team shoots the box, it flashes Blue and switches control.
The Battle Box doesn’t just flash—it tracks how long each team holds the area. The team with the longest control time wins.
Victory Condition: At the end of the game, the team with the most time controlling the box is declared the winner. It’s that simple, but the strategy involved makes it incredibly engaging.

3. The Flexibility of Domination:

Small or Large Groups: One of the best things about the Domination mission is its flexibility. Whether you have just a few players or a massive group of 300, the game can scale to suit your event. You can play with as few as three players or as many as 300+ by adjusting how the game is set up.
Adjusting the Game: The rules and the battlefield layout can be tweaked to suit the size of your group. For example, if you're running a smaller event (up to 20 players), one objective is all you need. For more players, increase the number of boxes to three.
Supply Crates: Another option for larger groups, to spread out the action, is to introduce supply crates. These provide players virtual upgrades, based on luck and rarity.

Running Large Groups

The key to managing a large group is to spread the action out across the field. This keeps the game exciting and ensures everyone can engage while reducing the risk of accidental collisions.

• For up to 20 players: Set up two Medic Boxes on opposite flanks of the battlefield to act as respawn points. Then, place your Domination Box in the middle to act as the objective.

When you have more than 20 players, you have two options:

• Extra Domination Boxes: Set up three Domination Boxes instead of one. These go in a row across your battlefield. This setup spreads the players further across the field, increasing the action and excitement.

• Add Supply Crates: For groups less than 30, you had add one box. But once you've got more than that, two Supply Crates is a must. You can place these in a row with the Domination Box. Or you can place each one closer to the team's Medic Boxes, giving them an opportunity to claim supplies before fighting for the objective.

When you have more than 100 players, you can add box supply crates and extra domination boxes to really spread the players out!

People are Raving about it

I'm really getting excited about our laser tag! I really feel that this could be big for us. Our battlefield area is really cool and a fun place to play. Last weekend we had about 100 sorority girls from San Jose State play. We've had at risk youth from Oakland and Watsonville, boys soccer team, youth groups and our guest groups play. The gear gets used every weekend. People are raving about it.

Scoring the Mission

Scoring in the Domination mission can be as straightforward or as complex as you need it to be. Here’s a breakdown:

One-Point Domination: In this mode, there’s a single Domination Box. The team that controls the box for the longest period wins. This is perfect for smaller groups or quick sessions.
Three-Point Domination: With this variation, you’ll use three Domination Boxes placed across the field. The team that controls at least two boxes for the longest period is the winner. This format is perfect for larger groups, as it keeps the game dynamic and spread out.
Score Tracking: To keep track of the action, you’ll need a master controller or the SATR-Go! Scoreboard app. As the game progresses, the controller will track each team's time, controlling the boxes. At the end of the game, the controller will automatically announce the winning team with a phrase like "Red Team is Victorious!". This instant feedback helps keep the energy high and adds to the excitement.
