The H & K G-36 is the service rifle of the German Armed Forces.
It was adopted by the Bundeswehr in 1995 and the Spanish Army in 1999.
The guns have a distinctive translucent plastic magazine that is fitted with studs to allow magazines to be clipped together easily which enables faster reloading.
A 100-round drum magazine can also be attached.
