The Degtyarev Light Machine Gun features a 47 shot drum, fires fully automatic only, has a long-range, has 8 belts of 7.62mm Soviet ammunition and takes 10 seconds to reload.

Adopted by the Red Army in 1928 it remained the Soviet Union's standard issue LMG until the 1950s. The DP and the DPM (Modernized) LMGs were widely exported to Soviet-friendly countries.
